This project is located on a leefy, steep hillside, halfway up a mountain and in the crevice made from a stream. It was made for one occupant, with three platforms containing the three distinct areas of program. The lowest platform holds the entrance and the kitchen. The next contains a living room and toilet. The final, the bedroom and bathroom.

The shape of the site allowed for a rigorous game of geometery to be played in both plan and section. Taking care to draw by hand, the house slowly evolved over several months and site visits. Once ideas were loosely drawn, models were made, and then they too were drawn, and so on. Eventually, CAD was also introduced, but only after the bones of the building had been realised.
