Spaces, crevices and niches dot modern cities as a result of considering the urban fabric as made up of small buildings rather than as a unified whole. These little spots are singing out for installations. Installations being used to describe something that is able to circumvent regular planning requirements.

This installation uses the principles of a rock climbing cam - a device used by climbers to temporarily install anchors in rocks. The idea being simple, a small thing which expands once in place and under load. From here, the structure acts as a base to suspend things off, with a large opening piece in the front to allow fabric to be suspended out over the street.
